Computerized Dispatching

Each of our cars has a computer terminal, connected by radio to the dispatch office. When you call to order your taxi, our CSR’s puts the call into our system, and within seconds your taxi is on it’s way to your door.

Boosts / Jump Starts

You walk to your car, turn the key, and hear that “click-click-click” that tells you you’ve left your lights on again… Give us a call! We will send a car to you with booster cables to get you back on the road… which is significantly cheaper than a tow-truck!

Deliveries

Need something to get from point A to point B, we offer a cost effective delivery solution. We will pick up from anywhere and deliver to where you need it to go.

Pre-Booking / Time Calls

Need a taxi for a specific time? With our state of the art dispatching system, you can call for your taxi up to 11 months in advance, and the computer never forgets! The trip is even sent to the taxi a few minutes in advance, just to make sure it’s there on time! We can even set them up to repeat (daily/weekly or as you require) automatically!

Wheelchair Accessible Vans

Have a lot of luggage to take to the airport? Last minute moving to do? Call us to book your Van Job! We have 8 Vans. Load em up! Our drivers are specially trained in accessibility issues, wheelchair handling, etc.

“Taxisaver” Accepted

Victoria Transit has a special setup for people who are unable to take the Bus due to physical limitations, but that don’t need the special care of HandyDart, called TaxiSavers. Once you have set up an account with them, you can purchase $80.00 worth of Taxi coupons at a discounted rate of $40.00. You can then use these anytime you like in a BlueBird Cab… Contact TaxiSavers at (250) 995-5618.

Credit Cards Accepted

Visa, American Express, Mastercard, En Route, Diner’s Club, BlueBird, Black Top & Yellow Cabs (in Vancouver)… We take them all, and with our point of sale terminals in every cab, we validate the card before it is processed for greater security. (Note: You must have your card with you.)

U.S. Cash Accepted

We accept U.S. currency.

Animals

Let us know at time of booking, and we will send you a cab that can take your furry companion with one of our “Pet Friendly Cars” wherever you need to go.

“Call Out Numbers”

Once you give us your phone number, all you need to do when you call (from home) is tell it to us. Once it is on file, your name will pop up on our screen, with all the special trip details that you set up when you told us your phone number (such as Basement Suite, Back Door, etc). Then all you need to do is call us, and say “My Phone Number is…” and your cab will be at your door a.s.a.p.
